Tuition and Fees
Imagine studying to fulfill the call on your life (klesis) for as little as the price of your daily cup of coffee. For only $39 a month plus the cost of books,
you can study to receive your Diploma in Sacred Theology (S. Th. D.), which will allow your bishop to ordain you to the sacred priesthood of the Orhodox Church within the
Russian Orthodox Church in America.
There is also an application fee of $49.95, a matriculation fee of $50 upon acceptance of your application by the Seminary Registrar and a Graduation Fee of $69.95 upon
completion of the Course of Study. Other fees are applicable for the materials, lodging and food involved in the weekend seminars (where applicable) and the 2 week long summer
session (summer sessions currently available at the Roswell campus or by videolink. weekend seminars currently available in San Francisco, Saint Louis, and Roswell or by
videolink)
Students are encouraged to begin building a parish as soon as they are able to conduct Enquirers Classes and Readers Services. The parish of the student should assist, if at
all possible, in helping the student meet his or her financial obligations to the Seminary.
Furthermore, the Seminary is continually adding to the textbooks and materials that it has online
in PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format). Therefore, the textbooks you need may be available to read online or to print out, using the Acrobat Reader free download available
here.
The Seminary and the Church are not presently in a position to give financial aid to students from the United States and Canada. However, the Church may underwrite part or all
of the costs of participation for students in developing countries that are missionaries developing parishes for the Russian Orthodox Church in America. In addition to the
charges made for the coursework, there is the cost of books (most textbooks are currently available online) and the costs involved in the weekend and summer seminars
(seminars attended by videocast still require a fee to cover Server costs, videocast operator wages and materials fees). Adjustments in the training schedule shall be made
whenever possible to accommodate the student's work schedule, whenever possible.
Persons not able to meet these financial requirements should openly discuss their needs with their Bishop, as finances shallt never be the impediment to the fulfillment of a
valid klesis.
